CaseyKing BeforeAfter - Casey King - Our Previous WEM Student tshirt quilt - tshirt blanket

When Casey King joined our Work Experience Model Program in last Summer, she was a great, motivated and hard-worker student. We all learned so much about her wonderful personality and her soccer background. She was born and raised in Bexley. She attended A.G. Bell during her preschool years then she went to mainstreamed school, Bexley, from first grade through eighth grade. Currently, she is a student at Bishop Hartley High School.

Last Summer, she told me what her goals are. Her goals is to graduate with at least 3.89 GPA, playing soccer for college that has offered her a scholarship and become a medical surgeon. Casey mentioned why she likes to work at Deaf Initiatives because “of the atmosphere, no communication barriers and it is considered as a part of learning experience.”

Yesterday, we received an exciting news! We found out that Casey joined the “World Deaf Football Championships” with her soccer team from here (USA). The World Deaf Football Championship is a huge Soccer event for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing players. The soccer team from all over the world are attending there to play against each other in Italy. Currently, Casey and her team made it to the FINALS! Their final game is tomorrow.

Keepsake Theme Quilts and WEM Program team wish you and your team a very GOOD LUCK!
We are so proud of you!
Keep up the hard work!
We all know you can do it!
